Random/Team Arena = Comedy Gold
i love doing random/team arena for this sole reason. everytime a w/mo throws up a mending and uses word, i just can't help but go bonkers.
some of the antics that goes on in there is just priceless. i love it!
w/mos ftw!!

hehehehehehehehe.
I love to join pugs to see them suck against the unworthys.
Actually mending is worth it as secondary monk with 4 healing prayers.
And Word of Healing AND mending both are just good at 12 healing for any other primary class, but...
Warriors that think they can heal shit with 2 energy regen (and a stance) are so goddamn funny!

I think the OP meant warriors that use swords, not word as in Word of Healing. And yes I agree.

Every W/Mo I end up with in the random arena uses mending. It's always the very first thing they do as soon as the map loads. :P

Part of the reason that rt4v4 is so funny and fun is because the average person in there is either a) a newbie, who has no idea what skills are good or how to use the good skills they have, or b) a more experienced player who is just goofing off or testing something. Seriously, it’s only been within the past two weeks that I’ve noticed a rise in air Elementalists, hammer/earth warriors, condition Mesmers, and smiting monks.
(Incidentally, I’m amazed at how many people can’t figure out how to deal with the e/mo smite. So many warriors run right up to die, so many Mesmers, Elementalists and Necromancers never bother running. Just run away from the damn thing or use some enchantment removal…)
It’s only within the last few days that I’ve noticed people using blinding effects on my warriors and rangers, which means that I’m now bringing condition removal.

Every W/Mo I end up with seems to save casting Mending until the end of the timer, for some odd reason. :/

I recently switched to W/Mo because my guild needs an extra forge runner, and when i do random pvp, i cast mending because my axe is 15% dmg when enchanted.

Last night I had some idiot invite me to his little guild after going on a win streak with my w/mo, so I switched over to my mo/w to fiddle around with some *non* serious smite builds which didn't work as intended, he then flames me for 20 minutes with every insult in the book....the kicker was "I'll bet you don't even have 15k armor do you noob". I then reminded him that he just invited my other char to his little 10 person guild and still proceeded to insult me for whatever reason.
I thought I left these kind of people behind when I quit playing counterstrike.....guess not.

Running Inspired Enchantment in team arenas is hysterical, too. If I never see another Mending or Air Attunement, it'll be too soon.

I love the random or team arenas... it is just so damn funny.
When i am on my monk, countless are the times the simple combination of Healing Hands, Healing Touch, Shield Stance, Bonettis Defense has kept me alive for as long as i want to last XD
A little Mend Ailment now and then got rid of most rangers. It is just funny. Another thing i like is to go in with the typical Paladin, but switch healing with smiting and bring strength of honor, Judges Insight and Battle Rage with the typical Wa/Mo Premade, switching out swordpower for strength power. It is just too funny seeing all those warriors hit me for like 1 or 2 damage while i hit them 30-40 or 50-60 with Judges Insight. And all that by just tweaking the build a little
So damn funny to see them go like "woaaah dude, awesome warrior build!" or "wtf... that hurt".
Most funny thing about that... its a lousy warrior build, even with the tweaks and the typical Wa/Mo still is in awe lol

I love how people think that what applies in the organised 8v8 also applies to the random 4v4. Mending in and of itself isn't a bad skill it just tends to be a common feature of bad builds. Having said that, given the number of rangers running NR in the random 4v4 recently it may not be such a bright idea.
And there's a reason why rangers, W/Mos and monks dominate the random arena and thats because they're the classes with the best self healing and survival abilities. Which may not be an issue when you've got at least one prot. and one healing monk to back you up but it is when you're in the arena and on your own.
W/Mos with Word in the arena OTOH are just moronic.

I like to hunt crappy rangers and W/Mo's in random arena. Screwing my team over in the process, but killing the stupid menders.
What is funny is a R/Mo with mending...

A fragility mes has to be the most satisfying build for the random arena. I just love to solo 2-3 of their guys and watch them either say "WTF" or "Fragility is such a stupid build". If confronted by the later, I usually respond "Pack hex breaker then?".

With a zealous sword hilt, the energy gain of a warrior isn't that bad, really.
And as with always, secondary monks of any type still make decent enchanters.
A warrior throwing up Aegis every 30 seconds for 9 +20% seconds isn't much worse compared to a monk throwing up Aegis every 30 seconds for 11 +20% seconds.
Skills like Mark of Protection and Shielding Hands are reasonably effective and have set durations.
And if you'll notice, all of the skills I've listed have obscene recharge times, which means automatic pacing for the warrior, so they don't burn out their energy supply too rapidly, and they should ALSO be able to toss in 5 cost skills periodically. (33% attack speed stances being the most likely) [And they're also one second cast, which is why I like them when I'm in a paladin style mood]

I find it funny when I'm playing my gank ele and the warrior c-space attacks the warrior who I just iron misted, then wonders why he does no damage.
Even in team arena you still see eles with flare occasionally.
